PACES seminars and workshops provide an opportunity for parents to make new friends, to share ideas, concerns and techniques, and to encourage realistic expectations of their children, themselves and their families. Through peer discussion, parents have a chance to share the positive and negative aspects of parenting and to openly approach various topics. At each seminar, participants receive a series of handouts to stimulate ideas and discussion. Many groups continue to meet informally after the sessions are finished. This extends the peer support and friendships formed during the seminars and workshops.

Faber-Mazlish Workshops:
Faber-Mazlish workshops are practical, six week workshops, written by authors/lecturers Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish. They are designed for individual parents, couples or caregivers who want to improve communication techniques or overcome sibling rivalry within their families. Parents develop their skills by viewing video tapes, listening to audio tapes, reading the author's workbooks, sharing their own experiences, role-playing conflict situations and trying out new-found techniques in their own families. Participants will receive their own workbook to keep.
"Talking and listening—doing both can greatly reduce the conflict and tensions of parenting." This is a credo by which Faber and Mazlish help parents redirect their energy into positive parenting.
